(a) Grant Applicants should address requests for grants to the following:
MAILING:
4045 Five Forks Trickum Road SW
Ste B9 #305 Lilburn, GA 30047
(b) Grant proposals should be submitted in writing (cannot be submitted
electronically) and include a definitive statement as to the history of the
proposed grantee organization, the relevant experience of the administrators of
the proposed grantee organization, the purpose and amount of the proposed
grant, current financial statements of the proposed grantee organization
showing information regarding support by the local people and merchants as
well as all governmental support, whether local, state or federal and a written
representation as to the federal tax exempt status of the proposed grantee
organization (i.e. 501(c)(3)). This documentation must be submitted with each
grant proposal in order for the grant to be presented to the Foundation’s Board
of Trustees. Failure to do so will disqualify the proposal. The Foundation’s
policy is, if a grant is awarded, only one per fiscal year (June 1 – May 31) is
allowed. Two consecutive grants cannot be awarded.
(c) The Foundation Board of Trustees meets semi-annually in April and October.
Grant submissions to be considered by the Board must be received by the
Foundation no later than March 1st and September 1st respectively.
Because we operate with a part-time staff, requiring a signature for a mailed
proposal will delay receipt of that proposal.
(d) The Foundation generally restricts its grants to programs and institutions
involved in child welfare, religious, civic, health or educational activities.
Grants are restricted to the State of Georgia, except for programs carried on
by Chestnut Hill Benevolent Association in Boston, Massachusetts. All
grants are made to tax exempt organizations. In the case of scholarship
awards, grants are made to the respective educational institution, rather than
to individual students.
